DR. TIGHTSKIN is a delightful romantic fictional comedy from the award-winning author, Suzanne Elizabeth Gillis. The story is about a thrice divorced, recently famous Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon who reluctantly agrees to perform a sex change operation on a man, in order to restore his now rapidly fading career -- only to find himself suddenly falling in love with his newest patient. 

As the recently disgraced and divorced Dr. Rupert Shapiro, finds himself facing a sudden career crisis, his entire reputation in Hollywood is at stake when a new younger surgeon starts stealing away all his famous patients. At the insistence of his best friend, and fellow plastic surgeon Dr. Leonard Hirsch, Rupert reluctantly agrees to change a romantically hopeless transgender West Hollywood lounge singer, Tyrone Kline, into a female goddess, in attempts to restoring his now failing career. Tyrone is willing to go along with his entire process, in order to win the love of her 

non-committal heterosexual actor roommate, Ned Blake, who only in interested in dating 'real' woman, unlike Tyrone. 

During the year long transformation process, Tyrone move into Dr. Shapiro's Bel Air Estate, knowing that he's not only homophobe, but seems to actually hate all woman due to his recent demise. He puts Tyrone through endless torment, both physically and emotionally, as she slowly begins go transformation him from the inside and out as well, while taking over his entire personal and professional life, which is now completely devoted to her 'transformation' with the hopes of winning first prize at next years annual Plastic Surgeons award ceremony, an award Dr. Shapiro has won for decades, which is now expected to go to Dr. Picard instead, for his new 'face transforming machine' which has been making headlines news all over 'tinsel' town. 

With its flamboyant and outrageous humor, DR. TIGHTSKIN is a fictional satirical, heartwarming comedy written in the vein of; "MY FAIR LADY, THE BIRDCAGE, THE PRODUCERS and THE ODD COUPLE." The story is fraught hilarious dialogue, fast paced wit and poignant observations, along with heartbreaking 'transformations' for all the characters involved -- especially Tyrone -- who is soon addressed as Tara -- who is transformed both inside and out, forced to face her demons about her past, which has prevented her from becoming her real self for decades, due to her childhood trauma and loss of her mother.
